IBM Calling the Shots — 2025

IBM Calling the Shots is an interactive table tennis experience that transforms a live ping-pong rally into a dynamic portrait of player expression. Combining computer vision, IBM watsonx and real-time data analysis, the experience looks beyond the traditional score to capture the subtle qualities of play, translating movement, energy and performance into live commentary and personalised player insights.

The experience was designed to engage both participants and spectators, creating a shared moment where physical play becomes a source of data-driven storytelling. Statistical information is transformed into accessible and memorable visual and narrative moments, demonstrating how intelligent systems can interpret the human qualities within sport rather than simply measure its outcome.

I contributed as Senior Creative Producer at FIELD.IO, supporting the creative development and production of the experience and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across design, motion, development and creative technology. I helped translate the creative concept into a robust interactive installation that could operate for live audiences across different environments.
